After BCC, I went to Douglass College and majored in French and spent my junior year in Paris. College was followed by five years with Pan Am at 16th & K, working at the ticket counter and traveling the world.

I decided on psychology as a field and pursued a master’s at University of Florida in Gainesville and then moved to New York City where I have lived for 39 years, mostly on the Upper West Side. I obtained a Ph.D. in counseling psychology from Columbia University and am a professor at LaGuardia Community College, CUNY. My field is career counseling. I also do executive coaching for the Center for Creative Leadership.
