Chris passed away on February 25, 2012, while fighting her second battle with cancer. After B-CC she attended Pine Manor Junior College in Massachusetts for one year; she then attended and graduated from Texas State University-San Marcos, where she met her future husband, Bill Faris. Chris and Bill were married in 1967 at Ft. Sam Houston, Texas. They enjoyed traveling throughout their marriage. Chris taught elementary school for 25 years and touched and nurtured hundred of young lives. She is survived by her husband; mother Amelia Fales; brother Ralph Fales; her two sons, Hunter and Alex, and two grandchildren, Ashley and Ian. Chris was a free spirit, a practical woman, a Christian, a terrific cook, a weather expert, a wonderful mother, a fanatic Longhorn football fan, a great friend, a spiffy dancer, a lover of Jim Beam, an old-fashioned girl and a real hoot. She loved and enjoyed life to the fullest. Her sparkling personality, quick wit and rapid assessment of any situation will be missed by all.
