I went off to Colorado College, majored in physics, then to Cornell U for PhD in applied physics (semiconductors) and got married. Spent 9 years teaching at the college level then moved to Los Alamos Scientific Lab from where I retired in 1998.

Now spend a lot of my time on environmental issues and nonprofit board work for Audubon and other organizations, go on camping trips, watch birds, and enjoy the music and arts scene in Santa Fe.

On September 28th, I was recognized by the National Audubon Society with the 2012 Charles Callison Award as one who has “made remarkable contributions to conservation through coalition-building, creative thinking, and perseverance.”

Still married to Carlyn after 43 years; no children (by choice).
