Looking forward to seeing friends from as far back as Somerset Elementary. That's more than 50 years! When back in Bethesda I will miss Gifford's ice cream (as well as the Hot Shoppe, of course). During my BCC days, Mr. Evans' class was one of the most memorable, especially because my lab partner Lewis Guthman (sadly, gone since 2009) and I continued to reminisce about this class over many decade, interestingly with many chuckles. My favorite teacher was Miss McNamara (Latin), full of good spirit. After BCC, off to the University of Pennsylvania (with Lewis Guthman and Bill Joseph). After grad school (also Penn), I have spent my years as a college prof (economics) first in Michigan, but mostly in NYC. (Now I am emerita.) Did two short stints in DC at the Dept. of Housing and Urban Development a while ago. Always nice to be back in the hometown. Hubby is a lawyer. We both do public policy stuff. Now my son, 25 years old, is working at the Treasury in DC. Wheel coming full-circle.
