Kent Benson Kittle died in 1983. He lived most of his adult life in Metairie, La., a suburb of New Orleans, with his wife Carolyn and son Christopher. He continued his high school passion for golf by playing on the Wake Forest Golf Team and keeping a single digit handicap throughout his life. He was comptroller for a New Orleans hotel at the time of his death. He died as a consequence of a lifelong health issue.
