After graduating from B-CC, Paul attended Montgomery Community College before enlisting in the U.S. Navy in 1967. He married Theresa Lombardy before he was ordered to active duty in Vietnam, where he served with the 3rd Marine Division and was awarded a Bronze Star. Upon his return he completed his education at the Univ. of Maryland. They moved to New Jersey, where Paul had a 35-year career as a physical therapist. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, and never missed a Redskins game. He had three sons. Paul died in Naples, Florida, on May 31, 2022. He was predeceased by his wife and his eldest son, Paul "Beau" Jr., and was survived by his sons Francis and Timothy, and his brother Walter.
