Jim Dulcan, 44, a Washington area lawyer since 1969 who spent the last three years working at Aldon Management Corp. in Bethesda, died of cancer June 2, 1989, at his home in Washington.

He grew up in Florida and Bethesda. After B-CC, he graduated from American University and the University of Pennsylvania law school. He became a lawyer in the juvenile and appellate civil division of the Office of the D.C. Corporation Counsel in 1968. In 1977, he joined the Pension Benefit Guarantee Corp., where he became chief of litigation. He was a member of the trustees board of Cedar Lane Unitarian Church in Bethesda.

Survivors included his wife, Suzanne Dulcan, and two children, Emily Dulcan and Gregory Dulcan, all of Washington; his father, Edward S. Dulcan, of Alexandria; his mother, Mary Ann Dulcan, of Rutland, Vt.; and three sisters, Elizabeth Dulcan, of McLean, Claudia Brown, of Palm Beach, Fla., and Nicole Smith, of Frederick, Md.
