Fifty years sure fly by! My life has been unusually blessed with my husband of 46 years, Hunt, and two sons and three grandchildren.

Anyone who knew me at BCC will be surprised to know what I have been doing the past two decades. After having had no particular interest in government during high school (not even student government), I ran for Virginia State Senate in 1992 and won! Ever since I have represented parts of Fairfax and Arlington Counties. As one of only six women in the Senate, I have focused on education, accountability in state spending, preventing family violence, and reforming how we treat persons with mental illness.

I have really enjoyed reading this blog and finding out what long-ago friends are doing. We were quite a class and I look forward to seeing everyone at the reunion.
