Since graduating from BCC life has been varied and full. I studied English literature and French in college, met my British husband Charles through his friendship with Penny Hollander and her husband in Cambridge Mass, and got married in 1967, settling in Cambridge UK. A little teaching—English, French and English as a second language—saw me through the birth and growing-up of our three daughters. At some stage I turned to art, took lessons locally, and have had a variety of artistic experiences, including some adult teaching and some illustration. Our daughters are all married—one is a Yiddishist, one a flautist, and one a science teacher—and we are grandparents six times over in the space of 8 years, adding to the marvel and complexity of our lives.
