Anita was a life-long Washington area resident and had a long career as an interior designer, and as an independent designer of clothing, jewelry, interiors, and floral works. After B-CC, she graduated from the International Institute of Interior Design, in Washington DC, in 1964. She was an officer of the International Furnishings and Design Association. She died of breast cancer on April 30,1998, at her home in Brookeville, and was survived by her husband, James, and three sons.
