After graduation, I went to the University of Rochester and graduated with a BS in physics and then to grad school getting a PhD in physics

I married Jane who I met at Rochester and we have been married since 1967. She has several Master’s degrees in various educational areas and still teaches college Ed Courses.

We have three children and seven grandchildren. The eldest is graduating from BCC this June (2024)

MY leder daughter, her mother is a PhD labor economist now a researcher at the Library of Cnngress

Our younger daughter was in the Navy as Nuclear power officer and worked at teh WHite House and is now an attorney working for Thermal Fisher. She is also corporate secretary so her signature is on the stock certificates. Her husband is doing planning for futire business for Corning. They are in the Boston area, near us.

Our youngest got his MBA at Columbia and is in financial services at Chase in Manhattan.

I have been an engineer since 1980 in Aerospace/defense. I can’t write much about this but I have several patents which came as close as a legal documents can to explaining some of the things I have done.

My hobbies are reading, travel, and watches. I collect repair and research these and have published several articles on this. It is a real passion, so broach this subject with caution at reunion.

I do read a lot on a wide range of subjects.

Another strong interest is languages mostly Hungarian adn Mandarin now.

I recall Richard Wolters came to the US as a Hungarian refugee so if he’s out there here’s his chance to put my Hungarian to the test. I have been Budapest several times and highly recommend a visit, the longer the better. (Prague, Brussels and Brugges are not far behind either).

My Chinese American son in law refuses to listen to my Chinese which he says is just awful.

I have many happy and some not so happy memories of BCC but in my view it was the best educational institution I have encountered and I have been at a lot.

We recently returned from a visit to Southern Africa.

The latest is from Table Mountain in Capetown.

Visit to Southern Africa is very informative. I was especially moved by somethign Bishod Tutu said that was on teh wall at the Apartheid Museum in Johannesburg. He wrote "If you want peace, do not sit with your friends, but with your enemies"
