I have had a long ongoing career in social philanthropy in Latin America especially in rural communities of the Andean countries. Over the past twenty years, I have also forged an academic career in the D.C. area universities (mostly Georgetown and GW), teaching courses to graduate and undergraduate students on Latin American related topics and authoring two books on socio-economic development in Bolivia.
