Richard retired as a computer specialist with the government He enjoyed working on the family horse farm in Frederick, driving Percherons, raising and showing horses. He earned his solo pilot's license and enjoyed flying. He was a member of the Maryland Draft Horse and Mule Association and was a former member of HOG, the Harley owners' group, enjoying his bike time. He died suddenly on November 2, 2022, at his home. Surviving are daughter Joyce Lynn Delmotte of Union Bridge, son John David Moxley of Ohio, sister Susan Sanford of Bethesda, and several grand- and great-grand-children.
